In simple terms, We will say that a Computer is a machine that can follow instructions. The instructions that we give a computer are called a program, And when the computer follows the instructions, we call it running a program, When it runs a program correctly, it accomplishes a task and does something that we want.

There is all kind of computers, Some of them are very large and some are very small. We are probably talking about the personal computer- the kind you have at home. That could be a desktop computer, or a laptop, or a tablet. Even your smartphone is a computer.

Computers see the world as if it’s made of numbers. There are two kinds of numbers: 1(one) and 0(Zero). By making everything very simple, adding and subtracting ones and zeros computers solve the problem way faster than people can!

You can use a computer to do work, but you can also use a computer to have fun! It can be used to do your math homework, or draw a picture, or go on the internet. We send emails using computers, do video chat on computers.

Computers work by combining hardware and software. Hardware is anything physical – anything you can see and touch. Like the monitor, the keyboard, and all the parts inside the computer- all those wires and circuits – that’s where the real work gets done. On the circuit board, you will find a computer’s CPU, the Central Processing Unit. That’s like the computer brain. Software is the set of instructions that tell the computer what to do.

Your computer doesn’t have any idea what it’s doing, it won’t do anything at all ever-unless you tell it to.

The computer can help us work, study, and learn, It helps people to talk to each other all across the world. They help people to design and build bridges, houses, skyscrapers, and roller coasters, Computers even helps to launch astronauts into space and help us land robots to explore the surface of Mars.
